Homestead Recertification Process
In order to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the tax assessor’s records, we are requiring all property owners who claim the homestead exemption recertify their homestead. The recertification deadline has been extended to March 15, 2021.
Providence residents claiming the homestead exemption must demonstrate that they register their motor vehicles at this Providence address in order to qualify. You may still qualify for the homestead exemption if you do not own a vehicle at all, or you have a leased vehicle.
